University of Nairobi College of Health Sciences (CHS) held orientation for newly admitted students for 2016/2017 academic year.
CHS Principal Prof. Isaac Kibwage was a keynote speaker during the orientation that was held at Millennium Hall 2, in Chiromo Campus.
In his welcome address, Prof. Kibwage congratulated the freshers for working hard in their O-Levels and making it to join Kenya’s premier institution of higher learning.
He asked the students to conduct themselves well during their stay at the University, observe their dress code and personal hygiene because of the nature of their courses. He told them if they want to achieve their career goals, then they have to observe cleanliness, order and be disciplined.
He challenged them to be people of integrity and maintain it.
He also asked the students to take good care of university’s resources and facilities they will be using, for the benefit of others who will be joining the institution in future.
He urged the students to feel free and interact with deans of schools and lecturers on social media or pay them a visit in their offices any time they encounter problems at the college.
He wished them good luck as they embark on their career journeys.

The students were also introduced to chairmen of departments in CHS and also addressed by deans of schools, administrators and student leaders.
