College of Health Sciences
University of Nairobi Internal Quality Auditors toured the College of Health Sciences (CHS) on 30th November to conduct the 15th International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Internal Quality Audit for ISO 9001:2008.
The team, which consisted of Mr. Wanyonyi Masinde, the lead auditor, Mr. Harrison Akala, and Julius Matano held a short meeting with CHS Principal, Prof. Isaac Kibwage and other staff at college before kicking off the exercise.
The exercise kicked off at the Principal’s office where they had a look at various documents and engaged the staff at the office before proceeding to the College Registry Office, College Auditor’s Office, and Bursar’s Office, College Transport Section among other offices at the college.
After completing the day-long exercise, the team held a closing meeting chaired by School of Medicine Dean, Prof. Fredrick Were, on behalf of CHS Principal.
In his remarks, lead Auditor Mr. Masinde was thankful to all the staff for their maximum cooperation and support during the exercise.
He said the audit had revealed that they were doing good work and urged them to keep it up.
The main objective of conducting the exercise was to close open non-conformities identified in the previous audits and KEBS Surveillance audit.
