College of Health Sciences Principal, Prof. Isaac Kibwage (L)shares a light moment with one of the attendants of the workshop.
The University of Nairobi, College of Health Sciences (CHS) held a sensitization workshop for the youth, women, and persons living with disability owned entreprises on 15th June, 2016.
The event which was held at CHS School of Medicine boardroom was mainly attended by the suppliers who are awarded tenders to supply the college with the goods and services needed in running its day to day operations.
CHS Principal, Prof. Isaac Kibwage who was in attendance noted that suppliers are very critical in the running of activities at the college and promised them of his full support in their lines of duty.
He said CHS had gone a notch higher and even surpassed the required percentage of tenders that should be awarded to this group of people, and urged them to be timely in the delivery of goods and services once they have been awarded the tenders.
“CHS is giving more than 30% of tenders to you people than any other college at UoN. This is more than the constitutional requirement,” Prof. Kibwage said.
Other speakers at the event were Joseph Mokaya (Procurement Manager, UoN),Joseph Waigwi (CHS Registrar), Joan Kanjejo (Deputy Procurement Manager), and Sheila Akala (Procurement Officer, CHS).
