The College of Health Sciences (CHS) has today 28th August, 2017 received 4 biometric student registration kits.

The kits were handed over to the acting CHS Principal Prof. Fredrick Were by Prof. Stephen Kiama, College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences Principal and ICT Director Mr. Christopher Moturi.

Prof. Kiama who is the chair of the University of Nairobi biometric student registration and information system said biometric registration will help the university to capture student information and ease retrieval of student data. It will also enhance accuracy in student records, security, lecture attendance and booking of the rooms.

The key components of the kit include; laptop, fingerprints scanner, digital camera signature pad, documents scanner USB herb photography equipment, lamps and UPS.

The college is scheduled to organize training for the staff who will take part in the registration of students who will be joining the university next month.
